The Irony of Omnio
We’ve designed a stroller for toddlers that want to walk. And we want them to walk too!
We believe that toddlers should be allowed to explore their world – to play, learn and grow, to get the exercise they need and to encourage their sense of adventure.
We also understand that even the most active and adventurous toddler isn’t always going to be able to keep up with adults and older siblings and stay on their feet all day. We also remember struggling with a bulky pushchair that took up too much room in the car, and that we often ended up pushing it around empty just in case it was needed! Most families we know invested in a from-birth travel system that they thought they would use until their baby had outgrown the pushchair-stage.
The problem is, we all do our pushchair shopping with a newborn baby in mind. Then we discover that lots of toddlers don’t want to ride in their “baby” pushchair. They need toddler-specific wheels – something that is sturdy and that they are able to climb into without assistance. They need a proper footrest, a comfortable, supportive seat and a softly padded harness that will extend to fit around growing bodies. You will need room in your car, or hallway, for all the other paraphernalia that you have acquired along the way!
So, although we’ve designed a stroller for toddlers that want to walk, is it actually ironic? Or have we designed a stroller for families that simply want to push on with their active lifestyles?
